It’s that time of year when you really start to notice how much earlier the sun is setting.
Hit a milestone tonight, too.

I haven’t seen anything Heilig-Meyer-related since Dick Trickle was sponsored by them, been ages since they went out of business.

The trailer and logo look to be in great shape for a company that’s been out of business for 17 years.

The mud flaps on the back wheels had the company name on them as well, and also looked quite good.

Yeah, me neither. They were based here in Richmond, as was the team that they sponsored. Even still it’s been years since I saw that logo anywhere, let alone in such good shape.

Is there someone actually named Dick Trickle?

I grew up in Richmond but I live in Raleigh now. There’s a town near by called Smithfield, they still have a big sign up for an empty building. Anytime I’m in Smithfield and I see it it reminds me of Richmond.
